REFLECTIONS OF PANCHATANTRA
We found this fable very interesting and useful. Useful because it teaches many lessons that can help you through life and interesting because it is entertaining.
It begins with the story of a lion who is feared by all the animals in the forest. This lion calls himself the king of the forest and wants to eat all the animals. They plead to the lion to give them another option, so they offer him a deal. The animals will send one of each species every day to feed the lion, so this way they wont extinct.
One day it was the rabbits turn, but he started to think of a plan so the lion would not eat him. When he met the lion, the rabbit told him of another lion who proclaimed himself the king and that wanted to meet him. The lion accepted and went to a cave to meet with this other lion. There in the well, the lion roared to scare the other lion but the echo made the roar stronger. The lion hurled himself and died. All the animals lived happily ever after.
REFLECTIONS
We learned from this fable that a ruler has to be kind to his subjects, this way he will earn their respect and not their fear.
Also, that when people are mean, most of the times they will meet with someone wiser that will teach them a lesson.
We have to learn to respect others even if they are different because they might surprise us in different ways. Everyone is special.
Most of the people who are strong or better at something try to show it off and push others. All of us have different qualities that make us different but we have to learn that these qualities are gifts from God to be appreciated and we must not use them to hurt others.
It was a very interesting fable, and it teaches a lesson to everyone no matter their age, culture or gender.
It is important to read this kind of stories because it teaches us in a different way something very important and valuable for the rest of our lives.
