WE´RE A BAND

REFLECTIONS OF THE SONG

"We´re a Band!!!"

I like this song a lot. The first time I listened to this song was a few years ago when our teacher showed it to us. I never realized the true meaning of it until this year when we listened to it again thanks to the same teacher.

The song begins explaining how the World has changed so much. How people do not understand how someone can have a relationship with God, so they just call us freaks. But we do not have to be afraid because God stands by our side and we have to honor His name. We can not hide and we have to be proud of being by His side.

We are all a band of brothers and sisters. We have to stick together and honor His name. Let others learn more about God because of our teachings.

I like this song so much because it really explains how society has made us all scared of showing who we really are. But we need to learn that by God´s side anything is possible. God promised He would be back, so we need to be ready and help others be ready too.

I also like this song because it reminds me of all the litspelling classes and singing out loud with all of my classmates. Im going to miss them a lot but I know we share a lot of memories.

Thank you Miss for teaching us to be better everyday, to give the best of us in everything we do. For teaching us this great song and for always being patient.

WE´RE A BAND!!!

WE´RE A BAND!!! - AUDIO ADRENALINE

Freak!
is what the world calls me
They don't understand, so they try to stop me

Hide!
I can't hide, so I stand up straight with Christ by my side
No, no, no, no, need to be tongue tied
so I say it loud and I say it with pride

Died, He died,
Christ gave it all but He's coming backto life
Now I've got a reason to be saying the things I say
and you know I've got a reason to be doing the things I do

Because, soon very soon,
God's coming back and I want to be playing His tune
So, here we go

[CHORUS]

We're a band!, We're a band!,
With guitars in our hands we're crossing the land
We're a band!, We're a band!,

For the Son of man, we will take a stand
You can make a plan, He'll be back again,
We're a band!, We're a band!, We're a band!, We're a band!!!

Hey! Please remove your hand from my mouth
it's been long enough so please do it now
uuh uuh uuh uuh uuh uuh uuh
you know you can't censor me
When wall flowers start to bloom four more voices fill the room
Say, you better get out of the way

[REPEAT CHORUS]

THE ANALECTS

REFLECTIONS OF THE ANALECTS

Confucianism is a Chinese ethical and philosophical system developed from the teachings of the Chinese philosopher Confucius. Confucius was a wise men that dedicated his life to teach others about important lections that help men in their desitions and in life.

He was oftenly recognized as the master of the Chinese people. And his teachings are still remembered every day.

We read some of his analects in class and I found the reading very entertaining. I liked it a lot because I believe that his teachings apply to everyone and even though they were written a long time ago they apply to the present times.

He was very wise when he said that leaders need to earn respect from the people in order to become trully leaders. If they treat the people kindly, they will be respected and not feared.

Also, I liked it when he said that now in the present, most people like to achieve things to be recognized by others. I believe that you have to achieve your goals in order for you to feel proud of yourself no matter what others think. It is important for you to be succesful but in your own achievements and not because of fame or recognition.

Parents must always be respected, as said by Confucius. I believe that this is important, not only because God said it too but because it´s the way it´s supposed to be. Parents have given us everything and they deserve our respect.

I liked all of Confucius analects because they relate to every aspect of my life and because they are very meaningful. I can understand how the Chinese relate so much to him and how they see him as their master.

PANCHATANTRA - IMAGES

PANCHATANTRA

REFLECTIONS OF PANCHATANTRA

We found this fable very interesting and useful. Useful because it teaches many lessons that can help you through life and interesting because it is entertaining.

It begins with the story of a lion who is feared by all the animals in the forest. This lion calls himself the king of the forest and wants to eat all the animals. They plead to the lion to give them another option, so they offer him a deal. The animals will send one of each species every day to feed the lion, so this way they wont extinct.

One day it was the rabbits turn, but he started to think of a plan so the lion would not eat him. When he met the lion, the rabbit told him of another lion who proclaimed himself the king and that wanted to meet him. The lion accepted and went to a cave to meet with this other lion. There in the well, the lion roared to scare the other lion but the echo made the roar stronger. The lion hurled himself and died. All the animals lived happily ever after.

REFLECTIONS

We learned from this fable that a ruler has to be kind to his subjects, this way he will earn their respect and not their fear.

Also, that when people are mean, most of the times they will meet with someone wiser that will teach them a lesson.

We have to learn to respect others even if they are different because they might surprise us in different ways. Everyone is special.

Most of the people who are strong or better at something try to show it off and push others. All of us have different qualities that make us different but we have to learn that these qualities are gifts from God to be appreciated and we must not use them to hurt others.

It was a very interesting fable, and it teaches a lesson to everyone no matter their age, culture or gender.

It is important to read this kind of stories because it teaches us in a different way something very important and valuable for the rest of our lives.
